New story!

I have a very short free read coming out at Red Rose Publishing probably tomorrow. Its a sweet teaser :-)
Love the front cover :-) and here is the blurb.

Samantha Dobson is thirty two and heading towards ‘the shelf.’ Life seems to be passing her by. Her friends Christmas party gives her a second chance at the man she once gave away. Is she brave enough to grab what is being offered?

My next big thing

I'm participating in The Next Big Thing which is pretty much a chain letter amongst authors.
We answer ten questions about our upcoming book and then tag other authors to continue the baton carrying, so to speak
So, what's my next big thing?
1) What is the working title of your next book?
It's called The Reluctant Duke.
2) Where did the idea come from for the book?
I was at my beach house and had finished reading my stash of Julia Quinn novels and thought about the heir and a spare idea- and thought " i could write a series about four friends, who are all spares, who don't want their fathers titles, but inherit anyway." Thus I had a series to write.
3) What genre does your book fall under?
It will be historical romance. Sexy or erotic, depending on your definition.
4) What actors would you choose to play the part of your characters in a movie rendition?
Now this is a hard question. Annabelle is blonde, innocent and beautiful, so say...Amanda Seyfried
Colin is late twenties, brown hair, brown eyes, stunning. Hmmm...not sure- any suggestions?
5) What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
Annabelle wants a nice, comfortable existence, marrying a Duke is the last thing she planned on.
6) Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?
Red Rose Publishing is publishing it in January hopefully, I don't have an exact date yet.
7) How long did it take you to write the first draft of the manuscript?
About 6 months on and off.
8)What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
I can't really do that. When i wrote the series I was reading Julia Quinn, Eloisa James and Sabrina Jeffries. So i suppose they are similar, but mine are much shorter and obviously not as well written- i wouldn't dare compare my writing with  those three, but that's who's writing inspired me at the time.
9) Who or what inspired you to write this book?
As above, Julia Quinn, Eloisa James and Sabrina Jeffries :-)
10) What else about the book might pique the reader's interest?
I always enjoy reading a linked series, that is written as an independant book. This is the first in a series of four. All four men appear in all four books, and they are written chronologically, so that Colin and his wife Annabelle appear in the second. And then Archie and Victoria, and Colin and Annabelle appear in the third. etc. I love reading those sorts of series- so thats what i wrote! :-)

Then you need to round up five of your favourite authors so they can answer those questions next week!

Christmas Blog Hop Post

Christmas is symbolic for different people in different ways. When I was younger it was all about the presents and the food. As I got older it became a day to spend with the family and eating too much rich food I tried not to eat too much of normally.
Now, I'm married to a Greek husband and have two beautiful little girls.
Christmas has taken on a whole new meaning!
It is now a month long process- not just a day. We get a real tree, decorate it and try to keep it alive in
the Australian heat. I buy presents for my extended family and try to hide them from my girls. I bake traditional Greek cookies and look forward to the day when I can make not only a Greek Pastitso, but an Aussie Pavlova for my families.
It is a day for family, food and presents- I take it back- some things just never change!

I am releasing my first story next week.
A contemporary sexy romance with a Christmas theme- Nanny Wanted!
About an Aussie nanny who gets hired by a Greek millionaire and subsequently falls in love with him.
I wonder where I got that idea from :-)
Enjoy and Merry Christmas!!!

As a part of the Christmas spirit of this blog hop- I'm giving away a hard cover copy of "Twas the Night After Christmas"- Sabrina Jeffries latest release! Just leave your name and email address in a comment below and I will draw a winner on the 20th of December.

Impossible Desires excerpt

This is a work in progress but i love it.
It's a BDSM elements erotic romance :-)

“Then we shall start tomorrow.”
Eleanor kissed Gareth’s full lips for only a moment before standing up. She had to break the spell he had wound around her. She was the one in control.
“Meet me here at 11am and we will go riding.”
Gareth jumped to his feet, tugging at his breeches.
“On a horse?” He asked, one eyebrow quirked in a charming way.
“Of course. I need a man who can handle a horse.”
Eleanor watched Gareth’s smile light up his face. It was truly bewitching.
He took her hand and chastely kissed the knuckles, a gentleman to the bone.
“I will see you tomorrow.”
Eleanor watched him walk to the door before she called out.
“And don’t forget what I said, you may not touch yourself until I tell you that you can.”
Gareth’s face fell so quickly it was comical. He opened his mouth to say something, then slammed it shut again once he had thought better of it.
Eleanor curtseyed, Gareth bowed in return and walked out the front door.

Nanny Wanted excerpt

“Oh my goodness,” Cara sighed when she stepped out onto her small private balcony and looked out.
“It looks like Greek Paradise.”
Acres and acres of fig trees, olive trees, grape vines and a large indoor swimming pool.
“How do you like the room?”
Cara squealed and whirled around,
“Oh, you scared me,” she laughed.
“I didn’t mean to,” Alex said coldly. “Well?”
Cara studied Alex; she didn’t understand why he was acting so coldly towards her.  His behavior was so mercurial; he really was the most unpredictable creature she had ever met.
Remembering his original question she turned her back on him to face her view and opened her arms,
“I absolutely love it.  How could you not, with a view like this?”
Alex moved to stand beside her.
